I remember how Uncle Sam would give my sister Helen and me matching necklace, bracelet, and ring sets when we were little. I cannot remember if they were our birthstones or not,but we sure loved them. I also remember how he loved my mom's stuffed green peppers. He was a unique man, giving and loving. Uncle Sam, you left all of us who had the privilege of knowing you with so many memories.

I remember when Uncle Sam lived on North 33rd St. on the north side of Milwaukee. He was remodeling his home, and knocking down walls. In the midst of all the rubbish,he found a substancial amount of money hidden inside the walls. Never forget the smile on his face, you would of thought he won the lottery. Love you Uncle Sam,R.I.P.

I remember all those days pushing the broom in Uncle Sam's garage as a kid joining him and my dad, Elmer. I worked on my GTO in Sam's home garage near Lloyd Street. Memories of Uncle Sam are everlasting. He was an original character not to be forgotten. My deepest sympathy in his passing.

I remember Uncle Sam whenever he came to Antigo to visit at our house, would through in his hat full of candy bars for all of us to scramble after. He was a giving kind uncle and we loved him very much. He will be missed by us all.

C Clayton Stone on Jan 7, 2013

I remember Sam would pick me up in Milwaukee to spend the summers in Antigo when I was a teenager. I'd help him work on the house he owned on Pine Street, and was introduced to many family members in the Antigo area that I never knew I had. I remember him teaching me how to drive in that big yellow suburban he had out on Pence Lake Road. And going with him on his produce runs all over the state. My grandfather (Bob) would always stop in to visit Sam, along with all his brothers and sisters when he brought me with to Antigo. My sympathy goes out to all family and friends on behalf of Clayton and Julie Stone and Family from Waupun, WI.
