Audrey Painter, of White Lake, WI died Thursday, November 8, 2012. She was 88 years old. She was born on June 28, 1924 in Langlade, WI a daughter of Homer and Ethel (Shannon) Lincoln. She married William Painter, he preceded her in death. She lived in Wauconda, IL until returning to Wisconsin in her 70s.
She was a member of Hope Presbyterian Church in White Lake. Survivors include a daughter-in-law, Martha Painter, Lake Zurich, IL; grandchildren, Jason Painter, Joshua Painter, Addam Painter and Courtney Klemp; and many nieces and nephews. In addition to her husband she was preceded in death by two sons, William and James Painter; five sisters and three brothers. A memorial service will be held at a later date in Wauconda, IL. I spent one summer with Uncle Bill and Aunt Audrey and enjpyed the summer so much with them and the Lincoln family. In 1964 I married and moved from Montana to Indiana and spent many happy times visiting in Wauconda and them coming to spend weekends with us. They taught Wes and me Country-Western Dancing which we all enjoyed. I did not hear of Audreys passing until yesterday and am so sorry I couldn't be with her.
