A Child Never Forgotten
© Carolyn Autiello

Jacob.
our heart was broken
without a warning no words spoken
you were taken away
someone said you could not stay

empty and lonely is what we are
we lost a precious shining star
our family torn apart
your world began with a promising start

life is unfair
this difficult cross we must bear
strength and courage we will find
our special child always in our mind

a place in heaven is where you sit
looking at that star you lit
in our thoughts forever you will be
never knowing why someone set you free

Jacob I'm sorry I did not get to see you the last time you were in New Jersey. : (
I know will meet again someday
and I will be able to find you right away cause you will be the one with the biggest smile there!!!
I love you Jake.... Give Grandpa Glen & Grand Mother Nicolina A huge hug for me. Thanks buddy

A Aunt Mary on Jun 6, 2012

This should be a real wake-up call for us all. Don't put off until tomarrow what you can do or say today. Grab your children, grandchildren, parents, anyone you love, hug them, kiss them and make sure they know how much you care. I know that Jake is safe and at home with our dear Lord. You will be sadly missed, who will eat all Aunt Missy's Christmas dinner! You have truly taken a piece of our hearts with you. We love you!!!!!!!

Jacob, It has been just over a week since I last saw you. I can't explain the huge loss I feel knowing our time together has ended. I wanted to watch chase your dreams. I always knew you could do anything with those smarts. No one could have predicted this. The only thing that I have to smile about is the thought that you are with Grandma Nicolina and Grandpa Glen. I know they will be happy to have you by there side in heaven. I will see you again son. Until then don't ever forget I LOVE YOU!

J Jodi (Randl) Keller on Jun 1, 2012

Glen, My thoughts and prayers are with you and your family at this difficult time. May time & memories help ease the pain.

C Connie Steckbauer on Jun 1, 2012

After having Jacob as a young student, I learned what a darling personality he had. He was a smart boy. He always came out to the end of his driveway when I rode by, and wanted me to tell him all about my horse. He would speak very proudly of his family, Grandma, Dad, Michelle, Megan and cousins. I always left him thinking, "What a nice boy"! Jacob will always be a fond memory of mine. He was loved by so many, including me. I hope he knew that!

We had some pretty good times in history class freshman year. and always a good time messing around in our other classes. You always made life a little more interesting. You'll always be missed.

Jacob Arrowood, you were one amazing boy. I went to your funeral tonight and I couldn't stop crying. I heard you thought you had no friends, well tonight Jake, we proved you wrong. There were so many people there tonight just for you. It was so hard seeing your family having to go through this but it was your time I guess. I won't forget the first time meeting/seeing you at Wausau East my freshman year. Megan was my best friend and you were her big brother and you seemed like a cool guy and from all the stories I heard you were. You will be dearly missed by all of us. Make sure you keep an eye out for Megs, she needs you now more than ever.

C Cody Taylor on May 31, 2012

CandleI am writing this tribute in my son's absence as he is currently in basic training. Cody considered you his 'big brother.' He spoke of you often and thought the world of you. He told me of the fun you shared together and times he looked forward to sharing with you in the future. He often talked about how much you meant to all of your friends. You will live on in the hearts and memories of all your family and friends. Our thoughts and prayers are with you and your family.

M Molly Sprengler on May 31, 2012

Jake.
You never failed to put a smile on someones face, especially in Mr. Gums. You sure came up with some wicked stories. I
remember when you recently came flying into Mr. O's room I a garbage can and Jeff was the one who shoved you in there. Mr. O freaked out lol!
You must have really hated math as well because if I remember correctly, you'd walk in late everyday & plop your books down & then doze off to sleep!
You're going to be missed, a lot.
Ill see you again someday, take care & please watch down over all of us.
Love,

J Jake Thorbahn on May 30, 2012

Thanks for listening when I needed someone, and I will always appreciate the little time I knew you.

Jake, I always remember you coming down to the kindergarten room to help out, it could be a bus helper or a good book buddy, I just remember, you always liked to play with the puppets! It's those silly times we all keep in our hearts. Keep smiling and light the way for all those who miss you & love you.

M Ms. Juli Gauerke (aka- Mrs. Olson) on May 30, 2012

CandleMy favorite memory of Jake is when he was a 6th grader at Crestwood. Jake tried hard in class and always looked out for others. He told fun stories about home that always made me smile. He will be missed by all his former teachers and classmates. There was only one Jake and I thank God for the privilege to have taught him. He taught me a great deal as well.

C Chloe Welsh on May 30, 2012

I guess it's true, the good die young. You were one of the greatest guys I knew Jake, and were always there. I wish you could be here today on Graduation Night, the one day you actually looked forward to that deals with school. I miss you so much, so does everyone else. I hope you're having fun with whatever you're doing. Rest in Peace.

G Grace LeVeque on May 30, 2012

This isn't the way it was supposed to happen. I don't think you realize just how much people care about you down here. You were one crazy kid and you sure did know how to live life to the fullest.Miss you buddy. My only wish is that I had gotten to say goodbye. I know you're still with us, but make sure to look after your sister. Her love for you is greater than everyones combined. We love you Jake. Forever in our hearts. Just remember, God only takes the good ones.

Remember the night you got your blazer stuck at my house and we towed her out with wades truck and bent his bumper. Good times, always a good time around you Jacob. you were a great guy. You will be missed, But we all know your in a better place now. Never Forgotten.

E Eric on May 29, 2012

Although we only talked occasionally, you were one of a select few people whom I admired deeply and trusted enough with my life. You filled everyone's life with true and genuine happiness and your role on this planet was defined from day one.

When I heard the news, my heart sank and a lump in my throat grew exponentially over the next few moments. It crushes me to think that someone so kind, so friendly, so caring, and so genuine loses everything at an age in which you're about to chase your true potential. It pains me to think that over these 17 years you've touched more lives than many ever will and you still had a job left to finish.

I will miss you, from the bottom of my heart, Jacob. You will always be in my thoughts. Rest well. You'll be flying over me and I trust that now I have an angel by my side like you provided so many with while you were here.
