To the family of Pete;

You have my uptmost and most sincere sympathy in the passing of Pete. Even though I have only known Pete for a few years, I was always amazed at his calmness and patience in how he went about his commitment to his fellow Brothers and Sisters. His sense of fairness and workplace justice was never equaled. Pete was the steady and dependable one in the times of undecideness and found the way to a reasonable conclusion for Local 2-535.

I will miss my Brother Pete.

May God bless and guide you through these most difficult times,

Dan VandenBush-United Steelworkers International Union

Pete was a man with a positive energy. I enjoyed working with him on the executive board for our union. Days I was ready to argue, Pete had another approach. I learned patients from him. I am sure he had angry days, he was a man, we all do but Pete had a calmness to him that was great to be around. I will miss him.

I will keep you and your family in my prayers, Donna. I am sorry to hear of the loss of a great person.

Pete I didn't know you that well but over the 8 years at Amron you were always very friendly and kind. Always making a point to say "hi" and had a warm smile to brighten peoples day. You were a very warm-hearted presence and glad to have you on our union committee. Rest in Peace my friend.
And "Mrs. Pete" (Donna) as I will probably always remember you, I pray you double blessings of love, peace, comfort, true friends, financial support, and whatever else you need. God Bless you all.

I got to know Pete through Antigo Area Advocates for Animals. A hard-working guy, he had this infectious smile on his face that would cheer you up even on a bad day. A person that likes animals is a good person and I know that God has a special place in heaven for him. My sympathy to his dear wife Donna and the rest of his family.

B Bethany DeHart on Dec 22, 2011

While it has probably been a million years since I had seen Pete, I am sure that the entire DeHart family sends it's condolences. Pete was a good man, father, brother, friend. Peace.

pete will be missed by every one at amron. I will miss pete dearly, he knew how to put a smile on your face no matter how bad your day was going.Until we meet again buddy.

Pete was the kind of guy that everyone would have loved to work with or known at some point in their lives. God must be having trouble with a machine in Heaven and Pete will get it running and of course he will have his coffee cup with him. RIP my good friend.

Pete was the most 'stand up guy' that I have ever had the pleasure to know. He asked me how I was getting along with the morning CNC class and had suggested that perhaps next time, when Amron set up a class like this, that we should have a time and location to put together a study group so that those who were understanding the class could help those who were struggling and the group could bounce ideas off of one another as well. He took the time to offer condolences on the recent passing of my Uncle and to wave or smile when I saw him in passing each morning.

One thing that I am going to miss dearly is seeing him come through in the mornings with his yellow coffee cup. I had come to the conclusion that Pete chose the bright yellow coffee cup with the intention that if the cup was bright he wouldn't misplace it. So one day, recently, I asked him about the cup and why it was that he had chosen the bright yellow color and he replied, "Oh I picked it up a garage sale-no special reason for the color!" Oh I couldn't stop laughing-so I told him why I had thought he had picked that color. It made me smile regardless, because it was a very consistant thing-Pete walking in every morning with that cup.

Pete was a great guy and good Friend. I borrowed a book to him called the Shack...ironically it is about what happens to a guy who goes to Heaven and gets to visit with God..Jesus and the Holy Spirit...Well Pete...is it anything like the book? We'll see you up there some day. You are greatly missed. Donna...You and your Family are in our Prayers
