Joyce Berberian, of Antigo, died Wednesday, November 9, 2011 at Eastview Medical & Rehabilitation Center. She was 89 years old. She was born on November 17, 1921 in Antigo, a daughter of Frank and Palma (Cosgrove) Hermann.

She was raised in Antigo where she graduated high school in 1939. She attended Marquette University where she graduated with a Bachelors of Science Degree in Business Administration in 1946, and Masters of Arts Degree in 1974. In 1978 she received her Doctorate in Philosophy, also from Marquette University.

She was a member of the Delta Gamma Sigma and Lambda Alpha Sigma sororities.

After returning to Antigo she attended St. John Catholic Church and sang in the church choir.

She was preceded in death by her parents and a sister, Mildred.

A funeral Mass will be held on Friday at 10:30 a.m. at St. John Catholic Church, with Rev. Charles Hoffmann officiating. Burial will take place in Queen of Peace Cemetery. Visitation will be Friday from 9:30 a.m. until the time of services at the church.
