Lynn Ann Grassl, of Pickerel and previously of the Fox Valley, passed away on May 1, 2024 at Aspirus Langlade Hospital with her family by her side. She was 73 years old. She was born on August 9, 1950 in Daggett, Michigan, a daughter of Virginia (Hafeman) Lesperance and the late Donald Lesperance. She married Lawrence Grassl on December 5, 1975 in Oshkosh.
She was a graduate of Menasha High School, class of 1968. She attended Fox Valley Technical College and received an associate's degree in accounting. Lynn worked for Printron Engraving in Neenah until retiring in 2016.
Lynn and Larry spent many years visiting the Pickerel area and in 2020 moved to their house on Crane Lake full-time. She appreciated spending time with her family and friends on the lake boating or riding the local trails in the side-by-side. Lynn also enjoyed gardening and sewing. She cherished spending time with her grandchildren the most.
Survivors include her husband of 48 years, Larry Grassl of Pickerel; mother, Jean Lesperance of Appleton; three sons, Adam (Stephanie) Grassl of Eagle River, Lance (Caitlin) Grassl of Oshkosh, and Eric Grassl of Pickerel; three grandchildren, Owen, Jarrett, and Delilah Grassl; two sisters, Bonnie (Leon "Mike") Schallie of Menasha and Jane (Dave) Knoll of Sherwood; two brothers, Gary (Jan) Lesperance and Scott (Kim) Lesperance both of Appleton; sister-in-law, Nancy Killoren of Pickerel; brother-in-law, Richard Grassl of De Pere; and many nieces and nephews.
In addition to her father, she was preceded in death by her brothers-in-law, Tim Killoren and Kenneth Grassl; and nephew, Kenny Killoren.
A funeral Mass will be held on Friday, May 10 at 11 a.m. at St. Mary Catholic Church in Pickerel with Rev. Arul Kennedy Gaspar officiating. Burial will take place in the parish cemetery. Visitation will be held on Friday from 9 a.m. until the time of Mass at the church.
