Leonard Wachal, age 101, died on April 30, 2024 at Cady Memorial Home in Birnamwood. He was born on June 1, 1922 in Antigo, a son of James and Marie (Bohr) Wachal.
A World War II veteran, Mr. Wachal served in the United States Army from June 22, 1942 to January 20, 1944.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by five sisters, Henrietta Incha, Aileen Schaver, Marie Madel, Sr. M. Marie Siena (Mildred) and Catherine Giles; and a brother, James Wachal.
A graveside service and military honors will be held on Thursday, May 9 at 11 a.m. at the Northwoods National Cemetery in Harshaw, Wisconsin.
