Wilma Mae (Harris) Bissonette age 92, of Phlox, died on February 19, 2024 at Aspirus Langlade Hospital. She was born March 21, 1931 in Antigo. She graduated from Antigo High School in 1949 and married Gerald "Jerry" Bissonette on November 26, 1949 in Phlox.

She is preceded in death by her beloved husband of 50 years; her parents, Mae (Robinson) Harris and Ole Beyer; stepfather, Ray Harris; and brothers, Sam and Wally Harris.

Wilma and Jerry worked in Milwaukee factories until 1957 when they returned to the Bissonette dairy farm outside of Phlox and raised their 5 sons. In addition to raising her family, Wilma worked at various businesses in Antigo including A&P, Ward's, Gresch Implement, Rusch's Equipment, and the Malliette Bus Company.

Wilma enjoyed baking, gardening, and spending time with her family. A woman strong in her faith, she was a devoted member of St. Mary's Roman Catholic Oratory in Wausau.

Survivors include her 5 sons, David (Kathy) of New Bern, N.C., Neal (Katie) of Schofield, Gary (Joan) of Grand Rapids, Mich, Jim (Emily) of Spencer, and Paul (Kim) of Phlox. She has 11 grandchildren and 18 great-grandchildren. She is also survived by her sister, Grace (Harris) Erickson of Kenosha, and brothers, Bob Harris of Wausau, Gary Beyer of Tillamook, Ore, and Larry Beyer of Portland, Ore.

Visitation will be Thursday, February 22 at the Bradley Funeral Home from 3 to 6 p.m. with a time of remembrance at 5:30 p.m. followed by the rosary.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Friday, February 23 at 10:30 a.m. at St. Mary's Roman Catholic Oratory, 325 Grand Ave, Wausau. A silent visitation will be held on Friday at the church from 9:30 a.m. until the time of Mass.

Burial will be in the St. Joseph Cemetery in Phlox.
