Michael "Gary" Nitecki, of Mattoon, died on January 16, 2024 at Aspirus Langlade Hospital. He was 77 years old. He was born on May 31, 1946 in Antigo, a son of John and Edna (Underwood) Nitecki. He married Roxanne Pavek on August 11, 1984 in Antigo. She preceded him in death on January 3, 2022.
Gary was a window installer in the Milwaukee area, working on commercial buildings. He later moved to Antigo and worked for Antigo Glass Company. He enjoyed fishing. A professional pool player in his younger years, he ran the Cue Room billiards club in Milwaukee.
He is furthered survived by his son, Paul Nitecki of Maryland; three sisters, Dixie Curran of Lake Suzy, Florida, Karen (Theodore) Fellner of Appleton, and Polly (Roy) Kerr of Florence, Arizona; two brothers, Dee (Cindy) Nitecki of Elcho and John (Barbara) Nitecki of Brillion; and sister-in-law, June Nitecki of Lake Suzy, Florida.
In addition to his wife and parents, he is preceded in death by his brothers, William Nitecki and Theodore Nitecki.
