Shirley Mabry Thomas, of White Lake, passed away early Sunday morning January 7, 2024 at her home after a short illness. She was 86 years old. She was born on January 28, 1937 in White Lake, the fourth child of Estel John Sr. and Lillian Mabry.
She graduated from Zion High School in Illinois, class of 1955.
Survivors include her son, Mark Thomas of California; daughter, Rhonda Donohue of Pennsylvania; a brother, Larry (Jan) Mabry of White Lake; sister, Connie DeGraff of Zion, IL; sister-in-law, Deanna Mabry of White Lake; and numerous grandchildren, great-grandchildren, cousins, nieces and nephews.
In addition to her parents, Shirley was preceded in death by brothers, Estel John Jr. and Leon (Kathy) Mabry; a sister, Pat (Mike) Steckbauer; and a brother-in-law, Bud DeGraff.
A funeral service will be held on Friday, January 12, at 11 a.m. at Bradley Funeral Home with Rev. Marvin Kindle officiating. Visitation will take place Friday from 9:30 to 11 a.m. at the funeral home.

Although I have a sad heart, I know that heaven has gained a very special angel who will always be there watching over her family and friends. I feel so fortunate to have had Shirley as a friend. Her stories of her time growing up in Wisconsin and Illinois and the family memories that she shared during our long talks together will always be special to me. Thank you, Shirley, for letting me be a small part of your life.
Shirley was a great lady,I will miss her very much I enjoyed the time I got to spend with her. PAT
