Cynthia Kay Schacht, age 51, died on January 6, 2024 at Bedrock Healthcare Center in Beaver Dam. She was born on July 9, 1972 in Chicago, later to be adopted by Richard and Barbara Schacht.

She was a graduate of Antigo High School, class of 1990.

Cynthia received training as a certified nursing assistant at North Central Technical College in Antigo and worked at Eastview Medical and Rehabilitation Center. She was an avid Chicago Bears fan and enjoyed listening to music and books on tape. She had great compassion for her many nieces and nephews.

Survivors include her mother, Barbara Schacht, Menasha; sisters, Christine Schacht, Birnamwood and Cathy (Nolan Russo) Rice, Appleton; brother Richard Schacht, Birnamwood; nieces and nephews, Marissa, Devin and Megan, Clinton, Ashley, Jessica and Michael and Taelynn; great-nieces and nephews, Jaxon and Noah, Aidan, Steven, Kevin and Jason, Shari-Ann, Mason and Raelynn, Zayden and Braxton, Aly and Leah; and three great-step nephews, Darrell, Ian and Ivar.

She was preceded in death by her father, Richard Schacht; paternal grandparents, Wilbert and Matilda Schacht; and maternal grandparents, Kenneth and Marjorie Zaremba.

Private services will be held at a later date.
