Peter Murphy, age 73, of Deerbrook, passed away at home on Thursday, September 28th, 2023 under the care of his wife, Robin, and LeRoyer Hospice.

Peter was born in Waukegan, Illinois on October 9th, 1950, and grew up in Highland Park, Illinois. He moved to the Summit Lake area when he and Robin married in 1970.
He worked for Heuler Tile Co. in Pewaukee as a Tile Setter Superintendent for over 30 years.

He was an outdoorsman. He loved hunting, fishing, cutting and splitting firewood, and making maple syrup. He also enjoyed riding his four-wheeler through the woods or just sitting on the patio listening to the world while watching the wildlife.

Peter is survived by his wife of 53 years, Robin Murphy; daughter, Becky Murphy; brother, Gary (JeanAnn) Murphy; nephews, Pat (Dawn) Murphy, Tim (Jaclynn) Murphy, and Jeremiah (Lynn) Murphy; and nieces, Beth (Don) Goerke and Maggie Varghese.

He was preceded in death by both parents, Allen and Erma Murphy; brother, Tom Murphy; and sister, Dayle Varghese.
