Suzanne Carolyn Boltz died peacefully at Rosalia Gardens in Antigo on September 25, 2023. Suzanne was born on May 22, 1924, in Chicago, IL a daughter of the late Douglas and Violet (Hanke) Smith. She was loved by all who knew her. She graduated from Oak Park High School and married Leonard Edwin Boltz (Ensign USN) in 1945. They raised three children in Lincolnshire, IL.
Suzanne was a florist manager and event planner for 30 years having worked for McAdams Florist and Designs by Jody both in Lake Forest, IL.
Following her husband's death in 1985 she moved to Charlotte, North Carolina, Las Vegas, and then Antigo. Her mother-in-law resided with her and her family for 22 years as well as her own mother for 15 years.
In addition to her husband, she was preceded in death by a daughter, Sue-Ellen Cunliffe, and survived by a son Leonard Boltz (Jacqueline Wanek); a daughter, Kimberley Gilroy; 7 grandchildren; and 11 great-grandchildren.
Visitation will be Sunday, October, 1 from 1 to 3 p.m. with service to follow at the Bradley Funeral Home.
Graveside service will be Monday, October 2 at 1 p.m. at the Forest Home Cemetery in Chicago.
