Florence Marie Bures, of Deerbrook, died on September 16, 2023 at Rosalia Gardens under the care of LeRoyer Hospice. She was 83 years old. She was born on May 4, 1940 in Phlox, a daughter of Andrew and Appolonia (Van Boxtel) Debroux. She married Robert Bures on November 14, 1959 at St. Joseph Catholic Church in Phlox.
Florence farmed with her husband for 35 years in the town of Peck. She was a proud wife, mother, and grandmother. Family gatherings were very important to her, including the annual Debroux family reunion.
She was a member of St. Wenceslaus Catholic Church in Neva and the church Rosary Society.
Florence was a longtime leader of the Bluebell Builders 4-H Club. She enjoyed cooking, baking, crafts, gardening, canning, and berry picking. Florence and Robert enjoyed taking many trips in their retirement.
Survivors include her husband, Robert; seven daughters, Sandy (Adan) Flores of Fountain, CO, Laurie (Kim) Kriegel of Danbury, Tina (Nate) Heuss of Antigo, Theresa (Steve) Bures of Appleton, Jennifer (Brent) Olson of Liberty Lake, WA, Kristy (Patrick) Downey of Neenah, and Vicki (Rick) Ducat of Manitowoc; four sons, Andy (Stephanie) Bures of Deerbrook, Robert (Nancy) Bures of Dunedin, FL, Gerald (Deborah) Bures of Exeland, and Edward (Kathy) Bures of Barneveld; 31 grandchildren; 21 great-grandchildren; and a sister, Rosella (Thomas) Waldvogel of Aniwa.
In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by three grandchildren; one great-grandchild; nine sisters, Catherine, Mary, Lorraine, Dorothy, and Evelyn Debroux, Margie Servi, Lucille Housey, Joan Hable, and Dolores Galica; and seven brothers, Alphonse, Adrian, Gerald, Victor, William, Danny, and Gilbert.
A funeral Mass will be held on Wednesday, September 20, at 10:30 a.m. at St. Wenceslaus Catholic Church, Neva with Rev. Joel Sember officiating. Entombment will take place in Queen of Peace Cemetery.
Visitation will be held at the Bradley Funeral Home on Tuesday, September 19 from 4 to 8 p.m. with a 6:30 p.m. parish wake service and on Wednesday at the funeral home from 9 to 10 a.m.
