Blake Smith, of Antigo, died on September 8, 2023 at his residence. He was 66 years old. He was born on December 19, 1956 in Pardeeville, a son of Donald and Dorothy (Stockwell) Smith. He married Carol Ver Hagen on December 2, 2000. They later divorced.
He moved from Kenosha to Antigo in the late 1990s. Blake worked for Timber Creek Resource for ten years.
Blake was a very kind man who was willing to help people and loved children, especially his great-nieces and nephews. He enjoyed spending time with friends at the local taverns, including Boettcher's Bar and Three Jokers Lounge.
Survivors include a sister, Pamela Smith of Antigo; a brother, Craig Smith of Lake Mills; three nephews, Derrick (Tanya) Smith, Jake Olsen, and Jason (Jessica) Smith; three great-nieces, Zandria and Zailey Smith, and Olivia Olsen; and three great-nephews, Everett Smith, Trenton Smith, and Dorian Engels.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his ex-wife, Carol Ver Hagen-Smith.
