Thomas Strobel, of Antigo, died on July 20, 2023 at his home. He was 71 years old. He was born on March 4, 1952 in Antigo, a son of Dellmar and Mildred (Knapek) Strobel. He married Carleen Wilhelm on August 13, 1977 at St. Joseph Catholic Church, Phlox.

He attended Peace Lutheran Grade School and Antigo High School, class of 1970.

Tom worked for his parents at M&L Truck Stop for many years and later for Merit Gear and Volm Company.

He enjoyed playing baseball in his younger years and later in life was very meticulous about his yard. Tom loved to spend time with his children and grandchildren.

Survivors include his wife, Carleen Strobel of Antigo; daughter, Danielle (Tony) Cayemberg of Green Bay; son, Casey Strobel (Karrie Leibherr) of Rhinelander; nine grandchildren, Aiden, Sophie, Adalynn, Camden, Damon, Arlie, Dawson, Gabrielle, and Gibson; brother, James (Karen) Strobel of Antigo; sister-in-law, Cathy Strobel of Antigo; two sisters-in-law, Nancy (Gary) Hackbarth and Kathy Wilhelm, all of Phlox; three brothers-in-law, James Wilhelm, Steven (Mary) Wilhelm, and Rick (Donna) Wilhelm, all of Phlox; and many nieces and nephews.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his son, Nathan Strobel; brother, Robert Strobel, and father and mother-in-law, Melvin and Francis Wilhelm.

A memorial service will be held on Thursday, July 27 at 5 p.m. at Bradley Funeral Home with Rev. Jennifer Sosinski officiating. Visitation will be Thursday from 2 p.m. until the time of service.
