Lester Clement Menting, of Antigo, died on June 12, 2023 at Aspirus Langlade Hospital. He was 86 years old. He was born on May 7, 1937 in Phlox, a son of Albert and Rose (Debroux) Menting.

Lester was a mason for many years, starting out working alongside his father and then working on his own.

He enjoyed woodworking and family gatherings.

Survivors include a son, Leslie Menting; a daughter, Lisa (Stanley Goscinski) Menting; a grandson, Jonathon (Gracie Hitz) Menting all of Antigo; and two sisters, Stella Cornelius and Sr. Mary Rose Menting.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by sisters, Gladys Koszarek, Josetta Waltich, Germaine Franzen, and Verna Rine; brothers, Vincent, Marvin, Wilbert, Ronald, Leonard, and Sylvester.

A funeral Mass will be held on Thursday, June 15, at 1 p.m. at St. Joseph Holy Family Catholic Church with Rev. Hanz Borbor officiating. Visitation will be held Thursday, June 15, from 12 to 1 p.m. at the church.

Burial will take place at St. Joseph Catholic Cemetery on Monday, June 19 at 4 pm
