Cleora V. Raith (Lacoque/Laycock) of Antigo passed away on Sunday, April 16, 2023.

Born in Wabeno, WI on September 7th, 1935 to the late Delina (Brusco) and William Laycock/Lacoque. Cleora "Clegg" had 11 siblings whom she loved dearly. In her early years, Clegg adventured with several of her sisters and enjoyed dancing and roller skating with them. From a young age, she helped take care of her siblings and worked as a sitter to earn pocket money. She cherished a summer she lived with her father in Michigan.

Clegg was married to Bernard Rodger Lodholz in 1951; had 7 children and later divorced. In May of 1967 Clegg married Gerald "Jerry" H. Beyer with whom she had 2 sons. They remained married until 1997 when he succumbed to cancer. Clegg was a wonderful homemaker through the years and took great pride in her children and home. Loving each one of her children for who they were and in her own special way.

In her later years, Clegg worked as an in-home CNA after graduating NTC in the 80's. She loved vacationing when possible with her family. Also, enjoyed hopping in the car and taking her grandchildren shopping to "bum around", taking them swimming, and spending time with them whenever possible. Over the years she cherished the companionship of several poodles.

Fate brought an old friend back into Clegg's life which resulted in her finding love again. She and Robert "Bob" G. Raith married in July 2004. Bob and Clegg spent a lot of time traveling and enjoying the grandchildren's company while retired. They remained married until 2011 when he succumbed to cancer.

In recent years Clegg got to meet some great-grandchildren and they are so very grateful for their memories with her. With dementia stealing much, she spent most of her days recounting fond memories and trying to get her great-grandchildren to give her hugs & kisses.

Clegg's many children and grandchildren are as follows, Robert (Jaime & Matt), Timothy (Jennifer & Katelyn), Rick (Allie, Brittney, Danielle), Randy (Lindsay & Jeremiah), Steven (Steven Jr., Jessica, Josh), David (Courtney & Madison), Julie (Jay, Joe, Kristin, Paige, Miki, Nicki, Vicki, Savannah, Arianna, Isaiah), John (Jordan, Savannah, Nicholas, Abbi, Caleb), Ron (William, Trevor, Anthony). As well as over two dozen precious great-grandchildren.

Anytime Clegg was met with any stubbornness within the family, she was quick to comment it was her "French blood" in us. As well as reminding many of us that we got our good looks from her as well! She hoped for everyone to remember her with the fond memories they have. So, at Clegg's request, there will be no funeral services.
