Gary Petrowski, of Deerbrook, died unexpectedly on January 2, 2023 at his home. He was 66 years old. He was born on February 27, 1956 in Merrill, a son of Raymond and Helen (Miller) Petrowski.
Gary played little league for the town of Vilas. He attended Antigo High School.
He was gifted with an amazing memory, remembering every family member's birthday. He enjoyed watching Jeopardy, was a history buff and could remember every fact about the Titanic. He was an avid Wisconsin sports fan, especially the Green Bay Packers. He was also an Elvis fan, loved the Beatles and enjoyed traveling to Michigan.
He made a remarkable recovery after having COVID last year. He was determined to get his Coca-Cola, burger and fries.
Survivors include a sister, Debbie (Ron) Gallenberg of Antigo; nieces, Heidi (Scott) Rovello, Amy (Ben) Jenkins, and Becky Kuenzli; nephews, Joshua Gallenberg, David Ullman, Jr., Gerry Ullman (Angel Lowrie), and Ray Ullman; great-nieces, Ashley Johnson, Isabelle Lowrie, and Lily Ullman; two great-nephews, Ethan Ullman and Wyatt Ullman; aunts, Patricia Doucette and Kaye Miller; an uncle, Robert Miller and his dog, Shiloh.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a sister and brother-in-law, Linda and Dave Ullman
A celebration of life will be held at a later date. Burial will take place in the spring at St. Wencel Catholic Cemetery.

So sorry for your loss!! My heart goes out to all of you at this time. Knowing how hard he battled Covid and winning shows how resolute he was! Praying for peace at this time that he is back together with his sister and parents.
