Janice E. Jesse, of Neenah, entered her heavenly home on Wednesday, October 26, 2022. She was 89 years old. She was born on October 21, 1933, in Antigo, a daughter of Henry and Martha (Weix) Schroeder. She married Albert H. Jesse on August 16, 1958. He preceded her in death on March 24, 2015.
She was a graduate of Antigo High School, class of 1951. She continued her education at the University of Wisconsin Stevens Point and in 1955 received her Bachelor of Arts Degree in Teaching.
Janice loved the adventures of traveling, cooking and baking, reading, sewing, playing the piano and going to Catholic Mass. She especially loved spending time with her grandchildren. Janice was an avid Chicago Cubs and Green Bay Packers fan, as she had a keen understanding of sports and its players.
Survivors include four daughters, Sandra Jesse of Peoria, Arizona, Lynne (Jeff) Ciske of Neenah, Janine Johnson of Cedarburg, and Lori Sorcic of Oshkosh; two sons, Lee (Corrina) Jesse of Neenah and Tom Jesse of Oshkosh; six grandchildren, Morgan and Matthew Johnson, Jesse and Zuzu Sorcic, Drake and Caitlin Jesse; and a sister-in-law, Jackie Schroeder of Antigo.
In addition to her parents and husband, she was preceded in death by two brothers, Tom and John Schroeder; a sister, Colleen Schweitzer; and a son-in-law, David Sorcic.
A funeral service will be held on Wednesday, November 2, 2022 at 1 p.m. at the Bradley Funeral Home with Rev. Charles Hoffmann officiating. Visitation will be Wednesday from 11:30 a.m. until the time of service. Burial will take place at Elmwood Cemetery in Antigo.

May Janice rest in peace. I remember Janice as part of farm life in the late forties and early fifties, before the family farm became a corporation. Janice, or Colleen, are my godmother. Both were support for my mother Loraine and I will always remember the Henry Schroeder family for their support especially for my mother.
