Rodney "Rod" Perry, of Antigo, died Sunday, August 7, 2022, at home. He was 87 years old. He was born on February 2, 1935, in Antigo, a son of Horace and Loma (Cross) Perry.
He was a graduate of Antigo High School. Rod worked in the mines in Michigan, for dealerships in the Antigo area, and then for 25 years as a custodian at the Antigo school district.
Rod enjoyed putzin' with his trucks, woodworking, mechanics and in his yard.
Survivors include his significant other, Judy Arrowood of Antigo; two daughters, Cindy (Pete) Taggatz of Stevens Point and Carla (Kurt) Fischer of Birnamwood; two sons, Mike Perry of Appleton and Brad (Julie) Perry of Abilene, Texas; sister, Nancy (Billy) Meverden of Antigo; grandchildren, Casey (Rachel), Ryan (Jennifer), Kenz (Sam), Jessica (Travis), Sabrina, Lewis, Sophia (Aaron), Luke, Jordyn; Judy's grandchildren, Taylor and Jordan; great-grandchildren, Jase, Treven, and Campbell (whom he called Soupy); ex-wife, Donna Perry of Schofield; and furry friends, Fritz and Goober.
In addition to his parents and brother, Richard, he was reunited in heaven with his daughter, Julie.
A funeral service will be held on Friday, August 12, 2022, at 11:30 a.m. at Bradley Funeral Home with Reverend Charles Hoffmann officiating. Burial will take place in Aniwa Cemetery. Visitation will also be Friday from 10 a.m. until the time of service at the funeral home.
