Laura J Meade, of Antigo, died Friday, October 7, 2011 at Aspirus Wausau Hospital. She was 77 years old. She was born on March 31, 1934 in Sebring, Ohio a daughter of Jule and Gladys (Bennett) Burgess. In 1951 she married James Meade in California. He preceded her in death on April 20,2000.
After marriage she lived in California. In 1962 she moved to the Town of Norwood where the family operated a dairy farm.
Survivors include three sons Robert (Jeane) Meade, Antigo, Charley Meade, Antigo, John (Linda) Meade, Elderon; a daughter Laurie (Shannon) Schreiber, Birnamwood; a daughter-in-law - Carol Meade, Antigo; several grandchildren.
In addition to her husband she was preceded in death by a son, James Meade.
A graveside service will be held on Monday at 1:00 p.m. at the Town of Norwood Cemetery.

We had no idea Aunt Laura has passed. I know Daddy (Punky) had called her to keep in touch but when Mom died (Mary) I think he quit calling. I'm so sorry we haven't kept in touch. Please get in touch with me. My sister's and I would love to hear from you.
