Ann Pechman, of Town of Peck, died Friday, July 22, 2011 at Evergreen Terrace. She was 88 years old. She was born on August 9, 1922 in Deerbrook, a daughter of Frank and Victoria (Franc) Simek. She married Walter Pechman Sr. on June 1, 1940 at St. Matthew Lutheran Church in Deerbrook. He preceded her in death on July 20, 1992. The couple farmed for many years in the town of Peck.
Mrs. Pechman worked for the Unified School District of Antigo as a cook at the High School.
She was a member of the ZCBJ Lodge and the women's club in the town of Peck. She enjoyed spending time with family, cooking, baking-especially kolaches, gardening, dancing, traveling, and grocery shopping.
Survivors include two daughters Carol (Victor) Illichmann, Evansville, Lorraine (James) Wilson, Argonne; a son Walter (Beth) Pechman Jr., Antigo; a sister Rose Malliette, Antigo; nine grandchildren Victor (Kim) Illichmann, Delavan, Mitchell Illichmann M.D. and Scott Matthews, Madison, Carmen Illichmann and fiancee Rob Miceli, San Diego, Calif, Gina (Chris) Raboin, Wausau, Alicia (Dave) Reimann, Antigo, Tina (Jerod) Littleton, Argonne, Amy (Willy) Krause, Crandon, Chad Wilson, Argonne, Trent (Amber) Wilson, Hiles; 14 great grandchildren Nadia and Rowan Illichmann, Zak, Brendan and Evan Rabion, Ethan Reimann, Kayla, Lindsay and Lauren Littleton, Peyton and Tucker Krause, Kelsey, Kaden and Kylee Wilson; two sisters-in-law Jean Simek, Wittenberg and Mildred Mraz, Berlin.
In addition to her husband and parents she was preceded in death by three brothers Edward Frank and Ladislar Simek.
A funeral service will be held on Thursday at 10 a.m. at Bradley Funeral Home with Rev. Charles Strong officiating. Burial will take place in Elmwood Cemetery. Visitation will be Wednesday from 4-8 p.m. at Bradley Funeral Home and Thursday from 9 a.m. until the time of services.
