I always had a great time when I came up in Feb. these last few years. He always introduced me as. "This is my cousin Dewey from Fl." And of course people had to ask me why I was up there in... Feb. Instead of staying in Fl. Butch was always excited when I came up in the winter. I exposed him to smoked pizza,ribs,cookies, brownies. Everything cooked right off his front porch over a open fire. Sometimes I think he thought it was better than sliced bread. He may not have realized it, but he was teacher of sorts. He taught me how to drive a tractor, even thou I couldn't push the pedels down to brake or shift. Theres so many things in fact, Butch and I talked about all the stuff from the farm days one night while I was up there in Feb. 2011. And in these last few years I've been coming up, You have shown me the simple life that there is up in north Wis.I could go on and on. I'll miss you deeply peckerhead.Save some cigars up there for me! Love you Man Dewey

I have to think that all of God's vehicles & toys in heaven are running a whole lot better now that Butch is there as his head mechanic. I'm guessing that even the angels wings have been WD 40ed so they can fly with greater ease. Butch must be having so much fun with all his family & friends who passed before him. I always laugh when I think of what all they could be up to!

Butch was truly a kind person that always had a smile when trying to help solve your problems. I remember back in 1972 when he came to the Waupaca Truck Stop Restaurant where I worked. He brought into the restaurant a box full of pistons from my first car to personally show me that he found why my car had such a loud engine noise. He was sixteen years old at the time, leaving me with an indelible memory of not only his mechanical prowess, but the extra mile he always went to ensure satisfaction. Rest in Peace my friend.

To any & all who had the oppturinity to meat Butch u could'nt have meat a nicer person. He was always wearing a smile and lovedhis toys cars and shows.You touched many & you will remain in many hearts. with love & sympathy,

Butch was one of the nicest people I have ever known. He was always happy to see me and hear about where I had been or what I had been up to. I remember him letting me drive his huge red truck from Ada lake to Pickerel because I wanted to learn to drive stick. I kept grinding the gears and snubbing out over and over, but he just laughed and said I was doing fine. We drove all over, working on reversing and stopping and shifting.After that, I was hooked and had to get a manual transmission. I was always happy to see him. He will truly be missed.

Butch and his mom, dad, brother and sisters farmed 1 mile from our farm in Sheridan, if u ever needed a hand they were there. Thanks for all the good laughs and fun time Butch. Mark Anderson Famliy

I loved how no matter where you were who you or he was with he always knew you and would come over and say hi and give a hug. He will be missed so much

I was around 12 years old and living on Fulton St. in Waupaca. One day I heard this high pitched noise and I went out on the front porch to see what it was. Here was a cool orange car and this guy waved at me. Who would have known I would grow up and be friends with the guy "with the cool orange car". Rest in peace my friend.

Daryl Wanner Butch, your smile and friendship has touched so many of us. I am writing this with such a heavy heart and a tear in my eye but the good Lord has something special in mind for you. Butch was my cousin but he also became my brother-in-law when he married Andy's sister. I thought of Butch like a brother and that he was always there to look after me. I felt he was a lot like my dad and felt my dad's presence thru Butch. We did alot together and to Andy he was like a brother that Andy never had. When Butch laughed he put his whole self in his laugh.

Butch ,Roy and I had a great time as kids deer hunting with our Dads, Harold Schmidt,Clarence Wall and others. I can remember it like yesterday stomping thur the woods yelling back and forth to drive the deer. It sure was some fun times that remain a lifelong treasure.

Butch was a good friend and will be missed very much. If you needed help not only would he come but at least a half dozen other friends too. So proud to have called him my friend.

Butch was one of the nicest people I've ever met, he was such a handsome man and always had a smile on his face. My late husband said he was the best transmission guy anywhere and always sent his transmission work to Butch. There were many good times and great laughs hanging out at out at Randy's Place in Sheridan! Butch never missed an opportunity to buy us a beer and of course we would have to return the favor and so on and so on until the wee hours...

My funniest memory of Butch was when he and Andy were messing around in Big John's squad car and Andy saw John's handcuffs on the seat and Butch let Andy lock them on him. Only Big John didn't have a key for the cuffs so they had to take a ride to the sheriff's office to free Butch. You had to be there to appreciate Butch's lack of humor at the time. Hehe

I remember butch coming into stop over at us the cabin and we going a ride 4x4 wheel then butch love going hang out us and he love going to ice fishing anything... He will give me hug a lot.. he was pretty funny and a nice guys.. i love you my buddy friend butch...

Butch, was a VERY big part of our lives! He will truly be missed by many people!He had a heart of gold! I will miss all his hugs and kind words!!He will forever be my favorite dancer!!

Butch made every person he met feel like his best friend. I can truly say he was the nicest person I have ever had the pleasure of knowing and my little world is much sadder. He will be missed, probably more then he could have ever known by, I imagine, anyone who was honored to have known him.

I remember Butch coming into Neuville Motors for many many years and he would always give me a big huge hug!! very nice man...over the years everytime i would see him i would get that same big hug!!! he was like a member of the family to us! love you Bruce!!

My favorite, really cute memory of Butch is him hooking his toy pedal tractor to the front of our dad's chopper. It was so cute that the Waupaca County Post photographer took a picture and put it in the newspaper. :-)
