Pat, Nick and JoNita. My thoughts and prayers go out to you during this difficult time. I will remember you husband and dad as a quiet man but always with a smile on his face. May the Lord comfort you with the knowledge that you will all be together again.

I will always remember the good times I had when I was a kid growing up with my Dehart cousins. Vern always had a smile on his face and would take us boys for rides in his 396 Chevelle. It was an awesome car with 4 on the floor. He was always nice to everyone. Rest in peace cousin Vern and thanks for the good times and memories.

M Maranda "Mandi" Skorie and Elliott DeHart on Apr 2, 2011

Words cannot explain what kind of a man Vern was. He was the kindest man ever. He had that laughter that lightened everyones heart. Elliott will miss him greatly along with everyone else. Will miss him on that stage at the fishing derby. He always had that smile up there being so proud. Thank you for your dedication and time with the community fire department and thank you for being a friend. You will be missed greatly but your legacy will live on through your children and grandchildren.

To the family and friends of Vern DeHart
Trying to find a better more down to earth person would be an impossible task. if there was a task to be done he would be one of the first to volunteer. If it was sub-zero os scorching hot it did'nt matter he would be there untill the task was done.
We are going to miss him greatly
