Mathline A. Petrick, formerly of Antigo, died Saturday, March 19, 2011 at Prestige Assisted Living in Mt. Pleasant, Mich. She was 105 years old. She was born on August 26, 1905 in Deerbrook a daughter of Romey and Frances (Plzak) Theriault. She married Anthony Petrick on September 29, 1941 in Mercer. He preceded her in death on December 27, 1974.

She was a 1922 graduate of Lincoln High School in Hurley. She attended Waushara County Normal School, Milwaukee State Normal School and graduated from Wisconsin State University, Stevens Point with a Bachelor's of Science degree in Teaching. Mrs. Petrick taught in elementary schools in Manitowish Waters and Winchester areas. She also taught in the Antigo Area Schools and for the Antigo Unified School District. She was a Principal at Neff Switch and Spring Valley Schools. In 1998 she moved to Mt. Pleasant, Mich.

She was a member of the St. John Catholic Church, Antigo, it's Alter Society and Christian Women and was also a member of Sacred Heart Catholic Church, Mt. Pleasant, Mich. She was an honorary member of the Langlade County Retired Teachers Association and the Langlade County Historical Society.

Survivors include a son, Michael Petrick, Mt. Pleasant, Mich; a niece, Barbara Loh, Medfield, Mass; a nephew, John Petrick, San Jose, CA; and several great nieces and nephews.

A funeral service will be held on Saturday at 10 a.m. at St. John Catholic Church with Rev. Jeremiah Worman officiating. Burial will take place in Queen of Peace Cemetery. Visitation will be 5 - 8 p.m. Friday and 8:30 - 9:30 a.m. on Saturday at the Bradley Funeral Home. A parish wake service will be held at 6 p.m. Friday at the funeral home.
