Mary Jo Borowczyk, of Bass Lake, died Saturday, September 29, 2018, at home under the care of her family and LeRoyer Hospice. She was 81 years old. She was born on June 27, 1937, in Antigo, a daughter of Roland and Josephine (McCormick) McKinnon. She married Carl Borowczyk on February 21, 1955, at St. John Catholic Church, Antigo. He survives.
She was a graduate of Antigo High School with the class of 1955.
Mary Jo was employed at Langlade Memorial Hospital as a nurses aid for ten years followed by 32 years working as a certified pharmacy technician.
She raised her daughters in Antigo, where she was an active member of St. Mary Catholic Church and was a girl scout troop leader.
She moved to Bass Lake in 1989 and was a member of Holy Family Catholic Church in Elcho and enjoyed cooking.
Survivors including her husband are four daughters, Karen (Rick) Yehle, Kaukauna, Janet (Joe) Theisen, Weston, Bonnie (Terry) Brand, Antigo, Barbara (Mike) Boehm, Weston; sister, Kitty (Mike) Jilek, Wausau; ten grandchildren Carl (Tina) Vitous, Becky Vitous, Angela (Kevin) Kramer, Eric (Alyssa) Yehle, Jodi (Devin) Kraege, Jamie (Dan) Bernhardt, Adam (Danielle) Brand, Andrew (Rachel) Brand, Mac (special friend Justine) and Marne Boehm; 12 great-grandchildren.
The funeral Mass will be celebrated on Tuesday, October 2, 2018, at 11:30 a.m. at Holy Family Catholic Church, Elcho with Rev. Charles Hoffmann officiating. Entombment will take place at Queen of Peace Cemetery Mausoleum.
Visitation will be 4 to 7 p.m. on Monday at the Bradley Funeral Home and 10:30 a.m. until the time of Mass on Tuesday at the church.
A parish wake service will be held at 6 p.m. Monday at the funeral home.

You have my deepest condolences for your loss of Mary Jo. Death is truly an enemy of all of us. She seemed to have such a positive effect on so many. Our loving heavenly father Jehovah knows the pain you are in and has promised a resurrection soon to come. That promise can be found in the Bible book of Revelation in chapter 21 and verses 3,4.
