Alyce James, of Antigo, died Saturday, July 14, 2018, at The Bay at Eastview Medical and Rehabilitation Center. She was 81 years old. She was born on May 26, 1937, in the Town of Summit, a daughter of the late John and Augusta (Weisshan) Strobel.
She graduated from Antigo High School in 1955.
Alyce is a member of Peace Lutheran Church.
She was an avid Green Bay Packer and Milwaukee Brewers fan.
Survivors include three daughters, Terri (George) Eklund of Antigo, Holly (Tim) Roberts of Tacoma, WA, and Christi Mariott of Boise, ID; six grandchildren, Robert (Angelic) Sugai, Kristina (Tony) Baker, David (Sabrina) Roberts, Daniel (Malia) Roberts, Elizabeth Mariott, Michelle (Jason) Hodges; 15 great-grandchildren and a sister-in-law, Millie Strobel of Antigo. She is further survived by many other relatives and friends.
She was preceded in death by a grandson, William Mariott; a son-in-law, Pete Mariott; two brothers, Donald Strobel Sr. and Dellmar Strobel; and two sisters, Doris Zaitz and Jean Grabowsky.
A private family service will be held at a later date.

You have my deepest condolences in your loss of Alyce. Death is truly our enemy no matter what age we are , that is why we feel so much pain when we lose a loved one. Are loving Heavenly Father Jehovah knows the pain that we are in and offers us a wonderful hope of seeing our loved ones again. You may find comfort in the Bible scripture of Revelation in chapter 21 verses 3 and 4.
