Dean Knudsen, of Birnamwood, died Wednesday, February 2, 2011 along with his mother as a result of an automobile accident on Highway 29 in Shawano County. He was 18 years old. He was born on September 26, 1992 in Antigo, a son of Mark Knudsen and Daisy (Yonkee) Parker.

He attended Wittenberg-Birnamwood High School where he was enrolled as a Senior, was employed at Arby's in Antigo and was a member of St. Paul Lutheran Church in Aniwa.

He was an avid gamer and enjoyed woodworking.

Survivors including his father are a brother, Joshua Knudsen, Birnamwood; step-father, James Parker, Birnamwood; a step-sister, Kianna Parker, Birnamwood; paternal grandmother, Susan Newton, Oregon; and paternal great grandmother, Jean (Knudsen) Beckett, Wittenberg.

Including his mother he was preceded in death by his maternal grandfather, Raymond Yonkee.

Joint services will be held on Tuesday at 11 a.m. at the Bradley Funeral Home with Pastor Betty Wyatt officiating. Burial will take place at Aniwa Cemetery in spring. Visitation will be at the funeral home from 9 a.m. until time of services on Tuesday.
