Ralph Lenzner, longtime Town of Norwood resident died Tuesday, January 4, 2011 at Homme Home in Wittenberg. He was 86 years old. He was born on January 14, 1924 in Antigo a son of Leo and Anna (Kuhr) Lenzner. He married Pearl Schmidt on September 10, 1947 in Phlox. She preceded him in death on April 22, 1991.

He moved to Aniwa as a child and attended Sandy Lane Grade School. After marriage he purchased his father-in-laws farm in the Town of Norwood where he farmed until 1988. He also drove school bus for Malliett Bus Company for 34 years.

Mr. Lenzner was a supervisor for the Norwood Town Board for many years and served on the township's volunteer fire department.

He was a member of St. Joseph Holy Family Catholic Church in Phlox, the Holy Name Society, the Mattoon Sportsman Club, and Production Credit Association.

The light of his life was his wife Pearl and he enjoyed time spent with his children and grandchildren.

Survivors include three daughters Marge (Gary) Antoniewicz, Chaseberg, Bonnie (John) Halambeck, Deerbrook, Cindy (Joe) Fuller, Antigo; six sons Jack Lenzner and special friend Cheryl Cummings, Antigo, Jerry (Karen) Lenzner, Eland, Tim Butch (Sherry) Lenzner, Antigo, Paul (Sara) Lenzner, Wausau, Andy (Jan) Lenzner, Antigo, Clem Lenzner, Chaseburg; a brother Bill (Phyllis) Lenzner, Birnamwood; two sisters Catherine Kautza and Lorraine Resch both of Birnamwood; 25 grandchildren and 25 great grandchildren.

In addition to his wife and parents he was preceded in death by a son, Joseph Lenzner, two grandchildren Stacy Fuller, and Nicole Lenzner, two sisters, June Resch and Mable Noskowiak; three brothers Roy, Dick and Bob Lenzner.

A funeral service will be held on Friday at 11:00 a.m. at St. Joseph Holy Family Catholic Church with Rev David Keifer and Deacon Tom Hartman officiating. Burial will take place in St. Joseph Catholic Cemetery. Visitation will be 3:30-8 p.m. on Thursday at the Bradley Funeral Home and 9:30- 11 a.m. on Friday at the church. A parish wake service will be held at 6 p.m. Thursday at the funeral home.
