Pearl Harmer, formerly of Waukegan Ill., died Monday, Nov. 22, 2010 at Eastview Medical and Rehabilitation Center in Antigo. She was 92 years old. Mrs. Harmer was born on March 13, 1918 in the town of Wadsworth, Ill., a daughter of the late Frederick and Itha (Hall) Cashmore.
She spent most of her life in Lake County, Ill., and worked in the obstetrics ward at Victory Hospital, as a typist at Great Lakes Naval Base in addition to many other jobs throughout her life. Mrs. Harmer moved to White Lake to be near her daughter in 2003.

She enjoyed traveling, crocheting, playing cribbage and other games with her family and friends. She was also known for her humor and playing pranks on the unsuspecting. She loved to make people laugh and always enjoyed having a good time. Mrs. Harmer was a member of the Wesleyan Methodist Church in Waukegan, Ill. She loved to work in the church library, kitchen and helped where ever there was a need.

Survivors include a daughter, Deborah, (Rev. Marvin) Kindle of White Lake; a son, Donald (Nikki) Harmer of Oklahoma City, Okla.; five grandsons, Darin (Kandi) Kindle of Farmington, Minn., Dean (Shae) Kindle of St. Paul, Minn., Dale (Crystal) Kindle of Green Bay, Nathan (Cindy) Harmer of Blanchard, Okla., and Neill (Amanda) Harmer of Bethany, Okla.
She is further survived by eight great-grandchildren, Evan, Molly and Bryce Kindle, Esther and Benjamin Kindle, Nikolas Harmer, Aiden and Eily Sue-Ann Harmer; sisters-in-law, Millie (Milton) Cashmore and Dolly (Floyd) Cashmore, and many nieces and nephews.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by a son, Phillip (Marsha) Knutson, a twin brother, Earl Cashmore and five sisters, Glenora, Marion, Itha Belle, Alice and Doris, four brothers, Gilbert, Donald, Frederick and Milton.

Memorial services will be held on Saturday at 3 p.m. at Four Corners Assembly of God in White Lake, her son-in-law Rev. Marvin Kindle will officiate. Visitation will be Saturday from 1 p.m. until the time of services at the church.
A second memorial service will be held at 11 a.m. Dec. 7 at the Weselyan Methodist Church on Lewis Avenue in Waukegan, Ill., with son-in-law, Rev. Marvin Kindle officiating. Visitation will be from 10 a.m. until the time of services at the church. Internment will be at te Milburn Cemetery, Milburn, Ill.

In lieu of flowers a memorial has been established in Mrs. Harmer's name at the Wesleyan Methodist Church Library, 3601 N. Lewis Ave, Waukegan, Ill 60085
