Gary Earl Kramer, of Crandon, died Saturday October 30, 2010 at his home under the care of his wife and Ministry Hospice. He was born on July 8, 1940 in Antigo to Earl and Viola (Getchell) Kramer. He married Jacqueline Rusch on May 11, 1963 in Westfield.

He was a graduate of Antigo High School class of 1958.

Mr. Kramer served in the United States Army from June 16, 1959 to June 15, 1962 serving in Korea. During his time overseas, he worked on four nuclear missle sites.

Mr. Kramer worked as a truck broker for Shippers Service of Georga in their Wisconsin division for 21 years. He and his wife then formed Kramer & Kramer Truck Brokers in 1985 which they continued to operate until his death.

He enjoyed hunting, fishing, and shooting. One of his greatest joys was teaching children to fish. He spent many years fishing the Great Lakes for salmon and trout with his wife in their cabin cruiser. He loved playing the piano, and singing for family and friends.

In addition to his wife and mother, Mr. Kramer is survived by a daughter Jeannette (Chad Anstutz) Kramer of Antigo; a grand daughter, Melissa (Nate) Kruger of Antigo; a grandson, Bryon Kruger of Wabeno; a great-granddaughter, Hailee Marie Kruger; one sister Patti (Don) Gaudette of Deerbrook; three brothers, Dave (Charlene) Bauknecht of Neva, John (Jane) Bauknecht of Gore, VA, and Tom (Rose) Bauknecht of Antigo, and many nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his father Earl Kramer, step father Ed Bauknecht, cousin/brother Jerry Getchell, his father and mother-in-law Herbert and Jeannette Rusch, sister-in-laws Roberta, and Nancy Rusch.

A memorial services will be held on Wednesday, November 3, 2010 at 11:00 a.m. at Bradley Funeral Home. Visitation will be from 10 a.m. until the time of service. Rev. Charles Strong will officiate. Military Honors will be conducted following the service at the funeral home. A memorial fund has been established.
