Frank Charles Novotny, of Deerbrook, died Saturday, September 11, 2010 at Langlade Hospital. He was 74 years old. He was born on January 21, 1936 in Antigo, a son of Frank and Ann Marie (Hasil) Novotny. He married Sue Dordel on September 2, 1965 in Antigo. She survives.
He attended St. John Catholic Grade School and was a 1955 graduate of Elcho High School. He served in the United States Army from 1958-1960. He retired from construction work in 1997 and enjoyed hunting and fishing.
In addition to his wife of 45 years survivors include his mother; three sons, Brian (Jennifer) Novotny, Stevens Point, Frank (Ellen) Novotny, Alamosa, CO and Keith (Lauri) Novotny, Stevens Point; six grandchildren, Brian Jr., Alli Sue, Cassie, Emily, Andrew and Kevin; and three sisters, Mary Gagas, Milwaukee, Ann (David) Smith, Deerbrook and Phillis (Leon) Mosher, Gleason.
He was preceded in death by his father and brother, Joseph Novotny.
A private service will be held.
