Larry Whitt, of Elton, died Monday, June 28, 2010 at his home. He was 68 years old. He was born on April 1, 1942 in White Lake, a son of the late Milford and Atchie (Boyd) Whitt. He married Barbara Flak on February 23, 1963 in Shawano. She survives.
He attended White Lake School.
He enjoyed trains, cars, music and spending time with his family. He played guitar with the Gary DeHart Basement Band.
In addition to his wife, survivors include a daughter, Tammy (Bruce) Whitt-Sylfest, Elton; two sons, Michael (Melinda) Whitt, Antigo and Larry (Teresa) Whitt, New London; two grandchildren, Suzy Elst and Bryce Whitt; two brothers, Oran (Jean) Whitt, White Lake and Clyde Whitt, White Lake and a sister, Marion (Dale) Straley, Arlington, TX. He is further survived by brothers and sisters-in-law, nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by two sisters, Iva DeHart and Violet Tate and two brothers, Donald and Ray Whitt.
A memorial service will be held on Friday at 10:30 AM at Elton Cemetery with Rev. Marvin Kindle officiating.
