Edward A. Eiter, of Antigo, died Monday, June 14, 2010 at Rennes Nursing Home in Peshtigo. He was 91 years old. He was born on July 15, 1918 in Washburn a son of the late Andrew and Louise (Major) Eiter. He married Mary Lou Stengl on September 23, 1955 in Eagle River. She survives.

He graduated from Antigo High School in 1936. He served in the United States Navy from 1944 to 1946 during World War II

Mr. Eiter and his brother owned and operated Eiter's Sausage in Antigo from 1936 to 1963. He then went to work at Kraft until his retirement in 1980. He also ran Mary Lou's Bar.

He enjoyed golf, bowling and hunting.

Survivors including his wife are a daughter, Karen (Dan) Klarich, Marinette; three sons, Bob Eiter, St. James, FL, Bruce Eiter, Manitowoc and Andrew (Sharon) Eiter, Broadbrook, CT; a brother, Robert (Carol) Eiter, Madison; four grandchildren; thirteen great grandchildren and three great great grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his parents.

A funeral service will be held on Friday at 11:00 AM at Bradley Funeral Home with Rev. Charles Strong officiating. Visitation will be Friday from 9:00 AM until the service at the funeral home. The Antigo veterans will conduct military rites at the funeral home following the service.
