Michele J. Mickey McCallister, of Bowler, died on Sunday, April 18, 2010 at Appleton Medical Center. She was 65 years old. She was born on July 1, 1944 in Milwaukee a daughter of the late Duane and Rosemary (Therriault) DePlanche.
She was the owner of Mickey's Tap in Milwaukee for 11 year. She attended Milwaukee Area Technical College to become a Licensed Practical Nurse and in addition to owning the bar she was a nurse in the Milwaukee area. She sold the bar in 1994 and moved to Bowler. She retired this year from Evergreen Care Center.
She enjoyed bowling, playing bingo, riding her Harley-Davidson motorcycle, puzzle books and traveling to Las Vegas.
Survivors include three sons, Horst Ellwart Jr. of Bowler, Jonas (JoAnn) Ellwart of Weston and Louis (Madonna) Ellwart of Bowler; two stepsons, Rodney (Ann) McCallister of Antigo and Jonathan Henke of West Allis; a stepdaughter, Elizabeth Singh of Milwaukee; grandchildren, Latasha (Jason), Horst the III, Helana, Jamie, Jessica, David Jr., Jacqulyne, Jonas Jr., Lucas, Brady, Anesa, Ariana, Hannah, Erin, Anthony, Olivia, Alyssa, Johathan Jr., Brooke and Victoria; great grandchildren, Kayla, Carmela, Divonnie, Jesslynn and Havannah; two sisters, Diane (Al) Czarnecki of Cudahy and Karen McCallister of Milwaukee and a brother, Kenneth (Nancy) DePlanche of Richmond, NC.
She was preceded in death by her daughter, Susan Kilgore. She is survived by Susan's fiancé, Lee Owens.
In addition to her daughter she was preceded in death by her parents and a sister, Nancy Last.
A funeral service will be held on Monday at 6:00 PM at Bradley Funeral Home with Rev. Jeremiah Worman officiating. Visitation will be held on Monday from 4:00 PM until the time of the service at the funeral home.
