Elizabeth Konobeck of Waukegan, ILL. died Sunday, March 7, 2010 at Vista Hospital in Waukegan. She was 81 years old. She was born on August 8, 1928 in Pickerel, to Benjamin and Frances (Fischer) Clark. She married Robert Konobeck on October 29, 1949 in Pearson. He preceded her in death on February 10, 1981.

After her marriage she lived in Antigo for several years before moving to Waukegan where she was a member of Immaculate Conception Catholic Church and worked for 30 years in the cafeterias of several Waukegan public schools. She was a loving wife, mother and grandmother who enjoyed music and dancing.

Survivors include four daughters Sue (Howard) Meyers, Waukegan, Patricia (Kevin McCarty) Hays, Antioch, IL, Ann (Robert) Bozarth, Pleasant Prairie, Betty (Todd) Melton, Waukegan; two sons Michael and Robert Konobeck both of Waukegan; seven grandchildren Tom, Diana (Ryan) McCafferty, Raymond (Tanna) Meyers, Billy, Steven, Sarah, Robert; two great grandchildren Peyton and Benjamin; two sisters Mary Rennpferd, Antigo, Clara (Charles) Haile, Pickerel; three brothers Benjamin (Virginia) Clark Jr., Pickerel, George Clark Waukegan, John (Francine) Clark, Valencia, Calif;

She was preceded in death by her husband, and parents.

Services will be held on Friday at 11:00 AM at St. Mary Catholic Church, Pickerel with Rev. Roger Strebel officiating. Burial will take place in the parish cemetery. Visitation will be 9:30 AM until the time of services on Friday at the church.
