Norma B. Iris, of Antigo, died Thursday, December 31, 2009 at her home in the care of her family, friends, and LeRoyer Hospice. She was 84 years old. She was born on October 16, 1925 in Antigo to the late Lonnie and Julia Marie (Horton) Powell. She married Eugene Iris in Antigo, they later divorced.

She was a graduate of Rhinelander High School and later attended Northcentral Technical College in Antigo with a degree in accounting.

She owned and operated the Mode O Day Womens Clothing Store for many years with Dorothy Benishek. She was also the night auditor at the Cutlas Motor Lodge retiring in 1993.
She was a member of the Langlade County Democratic Party, T.O.P.S., and the First Baptist Church of Antigo.

She enjoyed making ceramics, crochetting, reading, and spending time with her dogs, especially Gracie.

Survivors include two daughters - Lynn (Frank) Martello of Stafford, VA, Jean (Michael) Johnson of Edina, MN;a son - Lonnie (Naomi) Iris of Appleton; a brother-in-law - Edward Fischer of Grand Marsh; grandchildren, great grandchildren and many nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her parents, step mother, Rose Powell, two sisters, Marilyn Fischer and Eileen Powell and a grandson Todd Radtke.
At her request, no services will be held. A memorial has been established in her memory to LeRoyer Hospice 112 E Fifth Avenue, Antigo, wI 54409.

She was a kind and generous person to all. She will be greatly missed.
