Florian Tom Tomski, of Deerbrook, died Friday at Eastview Medical and Rehabilitation Center. He was 84 years old. He was born on May 4, 1925 in the Town of Norrie to John and Katherine (Groshek) Tomski. On August 24, 1946 he married Erna Swanson in Elcho. She survives.

He served in the United States Air Force in the Pacific Theatre during World War II.

He worked at Siemens Autobody in Milwaukee for four years, owned and operated a dairy farm in Tuckerville for ten years, and was employed at Co-op Hardware in Antigo for six years. He worked as a pipe fitter for Local 434 Labor Temple in Wausau for 20 years retiring in 1987.

He enjoyed hunting, fishing, snomobiling and spending time with his grandchildren.

He was a member of Antigo United Methodist Church, the Noetzelman-Boodry American Legion Post #377 in Elcho, and the National Rifle Association.

Survivors including his wife are three daughters Pat Tomski, Antigo, Lisa (Dean) Landowski of Middleton, Julie (Mark) Beda of Rothschild; two sons David (Peggy) Tomski of Deerbrook, Brian (Jacqueline) Tomski of Mosinee; two sisters Germaine Casper of Wausau, Lillian (James) Breeden of Laona; a brother Ernest (Adeline) Tomski of Deerbrook; 13 grandchildren Tanya (Bob) Irish-Manhart, Jeremy (Nancy) Irish, Cara Tomski, Holly (James) Grimm, Katrina (Joe) Malcore, Jason Marckx, Nathon (Heidi) Marckx, Jonathan Tomski, Christian Tomski, Nicholas Duernberger, Max Landowski, Victoria and Steven Beda; seven great-grandchildren Neela Malcore, Ethan and Holden Manhart, Nathon Irish-Kaltenberg, Rozlyn Irish-Valley, Christi and Kyle Bergen.

He was preceded in death by his parents, a daughter, Carolyn Tomski, a son-in-law, Regan Duernberger, a granddaughter, Sarah Tomski, three sisters, Virginia Chamberlain, Elgenia Kluck, Caroline Pozorski.

Services will be held on Monday at 10 a.m. at the Bradley Funeral Home with Rev. Charles Strong officiating. Burial will take place in Elcho Cemetery where the Elcho Veterans will conduct military rites. Visitation will be Sunday from 4 - 8 p.m. at the Bradley Funeral Home and on Monday from 9 a.m. until the time of services also at the funeral home.
