Brenda Wensel, of Antigo died as a result of cancer on Monday, July 6, 2009 at Aspirus Wausau Hospital with her family at her side. She was 46 years old. She was born on May 7, 1963 in Milwaukee to Glenn and Theresa (Polak) Bushy.

She moved to Antigo in 1969 and graduated from Antigo High School in 1981. In 1984 she married Tim Wensel, the couple later divorced. She was a homemaker most of her life caring for her two children.

Survivors include her two sons, Chistopher Wensel, Shawano and his special friend Leah, Matthew Wensel, Antigo, her grandson, Braxton Wensel, three sisters, Laura (Dan) Breckheimer, Appleton, Linda (Philip) Arrowood, Antigo, Janet (Ben) Clark, Antigo, two brothers, James (Donna) Bushy, Shawano, Mike (Julie) Bushy, Antigo, 17 nieces and nephews, special friend Tom Fleischman, Antigo, and his family, and her two dogs Buddy and Brea.

She was preceded in death by her brother, Robert Bushy.

Memorial services will be held on Friday, July 10, 2009 at 11:00 a.m. at Bradley Funeral Home with Rev. Charles Hoffmann officiating. Visitation will be 9:30 - 11:00 a.m. Friday at the funeral home.
