Arleen Tootie Tenney, of Green Bay formerly of Antigo, died Wednesday, July 1, 2009 at the Libal House in Green Bay. She was 80 years old. She was born on February 26, 1929 in Wausau to the late Jerry and Ella (Harder) Tenney.
She was raised in the Town of Neva. She attended the Langlade County Health Care Center and won many medals in Special Olympics events including bowling. She babysat for many nieces and nephews over the years. In Antigo, she lived with her sisters Clara Kleinberg and Leila Crandall and moved to Green Bay in 1990.
Survivors include her, sister, Myra Fercy Green Bay; brother, Jerry Tenney Madison; many nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by parents, a brother, Ernest, Tenney, five sisters, Clara Kleinberg, Leila Crandall, Winifred Martin, Gertrude Widder-Spiers, and June Tenney
Services will be held on Thursday, July 9, 2009 at -- at East Moravian Church with Rev. Gary Straughan officiating. Burial will take place in Antigo Cemetery at --- with Rev. Mike Williams officiating. Visitation will be at church from ==.
