Mark Allen Ackerman, of Gleason, WI, died Tuesday, May 5, 2009 at Langlade Hospital as the result of an agriculture accident.. He was 50 years old.
He was born August 5, 1958 in Antigo the son of the late Harold and Jeanette (Wilson) Ackerman.
He married Debra Mosher on Dec 19, 1988 in Antigo. She survives.
He attended school in Elcho and graduated from Antigo High School. He served in the Wisconsin National Guard for 12 years. He was employed at Antigo Retreaders and for the past 12 years for J.W. Mattek and Sons. He enjoyed fishing, hunting, and collecting antiques. He was a baptized member of the First Baptist Church..
Surviving are his wife, Debra Ackerman and four daughters, Michelle Ackerman, Merrill, Candace Mickey, Antigo, Miranda Malzahn, Merrill, and Amber Ackerman, Antigo, two sons, Craig Malzahn, Merrill, Mark Ackerman Jr, Gleason, four grandchildren, Quintin, Alberto, Jennifer, and Mya, four sisters, Sandra (Michael) Theisen, Helen Marshall, Linda Gabriel, all from Antigo, Lori (Jack) Spencer, Pearson, and three sisters-in-law, Sandra Ackerman, Blue Springs, MO, Judith Kapellen and Sally Hull both of Gleason, and many nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents, brother Michael Ackerman, niece Katina Marshall, father and mother-in-law Kenneth and Jeanette Mosher and a sister-in-law Carole McKinney.
Funeral services will be held at First Baptist Church, 414 Eckart Street, Antigo, May 9, 2009 at 3 p.m. with Rev. Louise Russell Sanford officiating.
Visitation will be May 8, 2009 from 3:30 p.m. to 8 p.m. at Bradley Funeral Home and at church from 2 p.m. to time of services .
