Agnes L. Whitt, 82 of Antigo, WI, died Thursday, August 14, 2008 in Eastview Medical & Rehabilitation Center.

She was born July 12, 1926 in Elton, WI, Daughter of the late Jerry and Edna (Jones) Farrand.


She married James H. Whitt on October 31, 1946 at Century Assembly of God Church in Zion, IL.


She was a member of Four Coroners Assembly of God Church, White Lake.
Born and raised in Elton, graduated from the Elton Grade School, she was a waitress at the Quigley Hotel in Antigo prior to her marriage. After marriage she worked at Abbots Labratory in Waukegan, Ill for 7 years. In 1953 they moved to Sacramento, CA where she was a clerk for a women clothing store. She retired in 1986 and returned to the Antigo area in 2004.She enjoyed camping in the mountains and near the ocean. .

Surviving are her husband, James Whitt of Antigo, and 2 sisters, Beverly VanTassel Austin, Tex, Frances Johansen Las Vegas, Nev; 4 brothers, Jerry (Marlene) Farrand Menominee Falls, James (Shirley) Farrand Sebring, Fla, Ervin (Phillis) Farrand Sebring, Fla, Dean Farrand Germantown; many nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by parents, sister Imogene McQueary and two brothers Norman and William Farrand

Services will be held at Bradley Funeral Home, Monday, August 18, 2008 at 10:00 AM with Rev. Marvin Kindle, officiating.

Interment will follow in the Bent Cemetery, Bryant

Visitation will be Sunday, August 17 from 3:30 to 7pm and Monday from 9am to 10am at the at the Bradley Funeral Home, Antigo.
