Joseph August Nonnemacher, 90 of Antigo, WI, formerly of Manitowoc, died Saturday, September 29, 2007 at the Homme Home, Wittenberg, WI

He was born Saturday, July 21, 1917 in Phlox, WI, Son of the late Joseph and Anna (Andres) Nonnemacher.
He was raised in Antigo, graduated from Antigo Senior High School with the Class of 1935.
He served as a Tech-4 in the US Army during WWll, serving in England, Normandy and Northern France.

He was a member of Member of St. John Catholic Church, Antigo, and a former member of St Boniface Catholic Church, Manitowoc, WI. He was employed in the Manitowoc shipyard as a carpenter. He also was a construction worker, and a home builder.
He was a member of the United Brotherhood of Carpenters Union.

He enjoyed fishing, rabbit hunting and playing cards.

Surviving are many nieces and nephews and 2 sisters-in-law Diane Nonnemacher and Marion Nonnemacher both of Manitowoc.

He was preceded in death by Parents, 2 sisters Dolores Nonnemacher and Mabel Tillman; 7 brothers Lawrence, Allen, Thomas, LaVern (Doc), Richard, Ervin (Shorty), and Elmer Nonnemacher

Services will be held at St. John Catholic Church, at 11:00 am, Wednesday, October 3, 2007, with Rev. Charles Hoffmann officiating.

Visitation will be from 9:30-10:30 Wednesday, October 3, 2007, at the Bradley Funeral Home, Hwy 45, Antigo, WI.

Entombment will be held at 1:00 pm Thursday October 4, 2007 in the Knollwood Memorial Park Mausoleum, Manitowoc with Deacon Paul Kieffer officiating.
