True friend... as I say farewell I want to thank you for what I learned from you about friendship.

I have established many friendships. Every time I make a new friend, I put conditions on myself to sustain and nurture that friendship. I try to be reliable, honest, open and work hard to ensure that person is never hurt by my action. At the same time, these same conditions I place upon myself are the foundation of my expectation from the new friend. God knew we would face challenges in our friendships and gave us the words of prayer to sustain us during its challenge... forgive me my trespasses as I forgive those who trespass against me. Friends...

In our friendship, I often found myself praying for forgiveness for my trespasses, yet never did I have to pray for understanding because you had trespassed against me. Without trying, you taught me the difference between friends and the treasure of a true friend.

It's like my children. They do not judge. They just love... unconditionally. I can have the worst day ever and with a simple smile and hug they lift the weight of the world from my shoulders. Like you, they don't expect me to be perfect, yet in their eyes I do no wrong.

I always looked forward to visiting Langlade because when I saw your smile and received your hugs I was taken to this special place of no expectation... the place where I could be myself and be loved for being me. True friends.

True friend... I believe in the forgiveness of sin, I believe in the resurrection of the body and I believe in life everlasting. Until the day that we are reunited, I will give thanks for the gift of memory and strive to be to my remaining friends what you were to me, true.

True friend... Bon Voage!

CandleCindy always had a bug smile on her face. Always ask how my family was doing.. I was blessed to have as a friend on Facebook for last few years.
