Gary Keen, of Antigo, died Friday, April 28, 2017 at Aspirus Wausau Hospital. He was 68 years old. He was born on August 14, 1948 in Antigo, a son of Vernon and Eleanor (Black) Keen. He married Mary Nelson on July 21, 1973 at St. Mary Catholic Church in Antigo. She survives.
He was a graduate of Elcho High School with the class of 1967.
Gary was drafted into the United States Army in 1968 and served until discharge in 1970.
He returned to Antigo and worked in the appliance repair industry for 35 years, 28 of those years owning and operating Keen's Appliance Service.
He was an avid outdoorsman who enjoyed hunting, fishing, making maple syrup, traveling and visiting with his family and friends.
Survivors including his wife Mary are a son, Dennis Keen, Antigo; a daughter, Stephanie (Edward) Blackburn, Spanish Fort, Alabama; one granddaughter Julia Blackburn; a sister, Sharon (Paul) Brzezinski, Bluffton, South Carolina.
In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by two brothers, Milton and Ronald Keen.
A funeral service will be held on Tuesday at 7 p.m. at Bradley Funeral Home with Rev. Jeremiah Worman officiating.
Visitation will be Tuesday from 4 p.m. until the time of services at the funeral home.
