Richard Schlub, of Antigo died at home under the care of his family and LeRoyer Hospice on Friday October 14, 2016. He was 57 years old. He was born on September 30, 1959 in Chippewa Falls to Robert and Olga (Golat) Schlub.
Rick attended St. Charles Borromeo Catholic Grade School and graduated from Chippewa Falls High School with the class of 1978.
He worked in the construction trade most of his life. In Antigo he was employed at Dave Nicholson Construction for several years. He then started his own company, Rick's Custom Building, a business he operated until 2010.
He operated Pickerel Point Resort for several years and helped in the operation of the Walleye Lodge.
He enjoyed helping people and will be remembered as the man with a big heart who would fix most problems with your house.
Rick is survived by his daughter Alexandra Schlub, Antigo; a son Andrew (Keisha) Schlub, Antigo; four grandchildren; four sisters Beverly (Robert) Bernier, Connie (Bruce) Tallman, Patricia Schlub, Barbara Johnson; three brothers Daniel (Violet) Schlub, Robert (Judy) Schlub, Thomas (Debbie) Schlub; and his girlfriend Dawn Mineau.
He was preceded in death by his parents, and a sister Valerie Schlub.
A memorial service will be held on Friday October 21, 2016 at 11 a.m. at the Bradley Funeral Home. Visitation will be on Friday from 9:30 a.m. until the time of services.
A gathering will follow at the Walleye Lodge to celebrate his life.

Dawn and family, sorry for the loss of Rick. My thoughts and prayers are with you all. Im very blessed to call him a best friend.
