Lenore Pomasl, of Pickerel, died Friday, October 2, 2015 at home surrounded by her family. She was 82 years old. She was born on November 23, 1932 in the Town of Wolf River, a daughter of Stanley and Emma (Klimoski) Skodinski.

She was a graduate of White Lake High School with the class of 1951.

Shortly after high school she married Sylvester J. Bumann at St. Stanislaus Catholic Church in Langlade. He preceded her in death in 1958. On February 3, 1962 she married Michael Pomasl at St. James Catholic Church, White Lake. He preceded her in death on November 21, 2012.

She and her family lived in White Lake and moved to Pickerel in 1975. She tended bar at Wheelers Anchor Inn for many years. Lenore was a member of St. Mary Catholic Church in Pickerel.

Time spent with her children and grandchildren is what she valued most. She never minded being uncomfortable as long as they were comfortable. She cooked from scratch, made everyone's favorite and all at the same time. She will be remembered for her famous pickles, potato salad, barbecue and homemade soups.

Lenore played cards and cribbage on a regular basis and for someone who never drove she sure got around a lot.

She was an avid Green Bay Packer and Wisconsin Badger fan. She enjoyed her spirited Wednesday afternoon card club and trips to the casino.

Dear Cousins, one and all:
I wouldn't know where to start to tell you how much your Mom meant to me. She was one of the kindest, most generous and craziest person I have ever known. The memories are long. The fun we had together was beyond compare.

I know that both of my parents adored her and always said marrying her was the best thing Mike ever did. Both your parents were always so close to mine and were always there when they needed them.

Your Mom and Dad are together forever now. She was welcomed into God's loving arms along with all the many special people who arrived before her. I bet there is one heck of a Poker tournament in Heaven going on right now. I can hear your Mom
scream with delight whenever she would win a pot, only to follow up with her famous line of "Too bad friends, darlings, lover and assholes", lol.

I will miss our long talks whenever I would call her just to catch up. She always made time for me and always made me feel welcome. Really eased the pain when visiting Pickerel after Mom and Dad were gone.

I will keep you all in my thoughts and prayers. Your Mom was probably the single
most important compass in your life. I know what a devastating loss this is for you all. My love to each and everyone of you.
