I know Shelby for a long time she was one of my teachers and my whole family knew her as a deep friend. I also used to mow her lawn and even shoveled her drive way. I love her very much and it all most killed me to hear about this.😢

Shelby carried with her such a great attitude. Seemed to me she always had a smile. I was at her Mom and Dad's home hundreds (and hundreds) of times when I was a kid hanging with her brother Paul since I was a youngster. She had a passion to interact with people ... she was always interested in talking about the people she knew always in a positive way and she love to talk family ... her family and the families she knew. My prayers are jetting to her family. Dom and Cherish your mother was a blessing to us all.

CandleTo the family of Ms. Shelby Gray:

I am truly saddened by Ms. Gray's death. Ms. Gray was more than just a study hall teacher (as we called her); she was very kind, quick on her feet, and overall, an amazing person. She was always so kind and considerate to us students that we always welcomed seeing her at every opportunity. Her bold, yet gentle personality was something that would only put a smile on one's face.

Her passing will not only leave a void in our lives, but in the hearts of everyone who knew her. Ms. Gray's memory will always remain deep within my heart, and the heart's of the lives she touched.

My sincere thoughts and prayers are with you.

With deepest sympathy,

Brian

Candle Our thoughts and prayers are with all of Mrs. Gray and to her family, may she have a safe journey home. Our kids had her and loved her. She was always a sweetheart and so funny. When i had a problem with one of my children skipping i told her i would get the handcuffs and she replied she would get the rope. Of course we were kidding but she always had the funny sense of humor that would cheer you up when you were at your wits end with your child. To me out of life's struggling moments she always tried to find the humor in it and tell you tomorrow is a new day. She will be deeply missed by all of us and remembered with great fondness. Much love, respect, and prayers going out to her and her family. From Lee, Vicki, Tom(Lewis), Tim, Leroy, Delcia, and Kyle Fair

I remember I had left the store I had been working at for about 9 months. I came back and said something to one of the customers.... The next thing I knew Shelby came flying down the isle and gave me her famous smile and a hug I can still feel today. I will miss that smile the most

N Nathan Witman on Feb 20, 2014

Shelby was one of the most sincere and happy-hearted people I have ever met. She without a doubt made my middle school experience one that would stay with me forever. She told many great stories, made us laugh, and allowed us as students to feel comfortable. Shelby and I forged a friendship in study hall that would eventually lead into the real world and last a lifetime. She would often come to my work to see me and great me with a hug. She would ask how I was doing, say she missed me, and we would continue to share laughs like not a day has gone bye. Shelby was the highlight of my middle school years and will always be in my heart. To Shelby's family, I give my best wishes. As for Ms.Gray however, I know your watching down on me and I'm sure you are the same ole' you.

M Marcy Walton on Feb 20, 2014

Shelby taught me if you have a good heart and a sense of humor, you can overcome just about anything. I thought about writing something sweet and heartwarming, but then I figured she would prob just slap an angel on the back, laugh & say "yeah right, marc!" I am definitely going to miss seeing all her huge crazy purses and getting to tease her about them :( I'm sure she is surrounded by Angels, and getting her wings blinged out by Emily ♥

T Takota Kolpack on Feb 20, 2014

Until we meet again, Lynette Lanik and family
