Kathy Eldridge, of Antigo, died Saturday, January 11, 2014 at Aspirus Wausau Hospital. She was 59 years old. She was born on September 5, 1954 in Milwaukee, a daughter of Janet (Menting) Kamps of Antigo and the late Clarence Kamps. She married Ronald Eldridge September 9, 1982 in Antigo. He survives.
At age 15 she moved to Antigo and graduated from Antigo High School with the class of 1972. She attended Northeast Wisconsin Technical College in Green Bay where she received an associates degree in child development. For 16 years she was employed at Langlade Hospital in food service. She was a preschool teacher in day care centers in Weyauwega, and most recently Head Start in Antigo.
She enjoyed scrapbooking, baking, playing cards and bingo. Her greatest pleasure was spending time with her grandchildren and family.
Survivors including her mother and husband are three sons Shane (Lindsay) Eldridge, Fremont, Scott Eldridge and Nickie Messer, Antigo, Ryan (Kasey) Eldridge, Antigo; seven grandhildren Ayden and Grayson; Felicia, Arianna and Bryson; Britney and Serenity; a sister Lynne (Ken) Doucette, Antigo; three brothers Dan (Pat) Kamps, Antigo, Kevin (Mary Ann) Kamps, Deerbrook, Keith (Jean) Kamps, Antigo; Further survivors include her husbands family: brothers-in-law Michael (Kris) Eldridge, Donny (Joan) Eldridge, David (Barbara) Eldridge, Bille Eldridge, Tommy (Terri) Eldridge, Danny (Tina) Eldridge; sisters-in-law: Anita (Don) Happel, Barbara (Martin) Sherwin, Joni (Art) Patterson, Aimee (Mitch) Savina, and numerous nieces and nephews.
A memorial service will be held on Wednesday at 6 p.m. at Bradley Funeral Home with her brother-in-law Rev. Daniel Eldridge officiating. Visitation will be Wednesday from 3 p.m. until the time of services at the funeral home.

She was my grandma I was only 1 years old when she died I wish I got to know her before she died
Kathy was a good friend. She was the maid of honor for my wedding. We spent many happy & fun times together as teenagers. She will always be in my memories and heart.
I worked with Kathy in the dietary department at the hospital when I was in high school. I remember chatting with her while we were on break, and I even remember her talking about her little boy Shane. Even though she was only 8 years older than me, I really looked up to her, and she made my first job really special. I'm so sorry for your loss.

Years ago, in high school, I worked with Kathy at Hunter's Supermarket. We had so many laughs and good times. I reconnected with her in 2012 at our class reunion and we had so much fun catching up. My thoughts and prayers go out to her whole family. She will be missed.
Ronnie, I am so sorry to hear about the loss of your wife. I never met her but she must have been someone special. She is in Heaven now with our Lord and you will surely see her again. It's always so sad for those of us that are left behind, but try to remember, she is not hurting anymore. Take care Ronnie and know that you and your family will be in my prayers.

Kathy cared for three of my children at Head Start. She was an amazing person. We are blessed to have had her in our lives. God Bless.
Kathy you will be missed....I first met you when you took care of my Jesse at daycare, you were so good to him "Miss Kathy"......then I had the opportunity to visit with you these past few years when you needed supplies for your scrapbooking passion. Your books were beautiful as were you.....God Bless you and your Family.
My heartfelt condolences go out to all of you. I can still remember babysitting for the boys years ago. Kathy was a sweet woman and is soaring on the wings of angels now. Always keeping watch over her family..Prayers go out to all of you to get through this time of sorrow.
They say that everything happens for a reason. Kathy came into our lives and we are better for having had the opportunity to get to know her. Kathy's devotion to the children and families that she served at Head Start will not be forgotten. She will be missed. Our heartfelt condolences go out to her family.
Ron, I was so heartbroken to hear about Kathy's passing. I enjoyed working with her at Head Start. She was a very kind and compassionate soul. My heart breaks for you all.
